Palo Santo ( Burseara Graveolens )  or "Holy Stick" is a natural wood aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune. as well as for medicinal purposes. It has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes of frankincense, its close relative. It is often used by shamans in sacred plant spirit ceremonies. Our Palo Santo is sustainably wild harvested from a reserve in Peru from naturally fallen trees and branches that lie dead for 4-10 yrs. before they are harvested. 

This Holy Wood has healing scent and sacred smoke, provide energetic protection, remove bad energy, uplift the spirit and bring good luck as well as repel mosquitoes.

Burning Instructions

Use a candle, match or lighter to ignite your stick of Palo Santo.  Hold at about a 45 degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame.  Allow it to burn for about 30 secs to 1 minute and then blow out.  Move about your workspace, home, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to clear the energy.  You can use the Palo Santo wood to clear your auric field.  The rich smell will also bring peace and clarity to the moment along with good feelings .  When finished, place the stick in a fire proof bowl of porcelain, metal, glass or clay.  The glow will end on its own unless you blow on the ember which will keep the smoke going.  Always use caution and respect when working with fire.

* as with all wood, the Palo Santo wooden stick smoke does not last long, so you need to re ignite more often if you are smudging a bigger space area.  It is much easier to do so with the use of lighted candle around.
